The DrNB in Surgical Oncology is a 3-year full-time super-specialty training program recognized by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). It provides comprehensive academic, clinical, and operative exposure to all aspects of surgical oncology.

Applicants must possess an MS or DNB in General Surgery from an institution recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) or NBEMS. Admission is based on merit through the NEET-SS (Super Specialty) examination conducted by NBEMS.

Fellows will receive extensive hands-on training in the surgical management of solid tumors across head and neck, thoracic, gastrointestinal, breast, urologic, and gynecologic oncology. The curriculum also includes exposure to multidisciplinary tumor boards, reconstructive surgery, minimally invasive techniques, and perioperative care.

The program emphasizes academic excellence and clinical research. Trainees are expected to engage in clinical studies, audits, and publications, present at national and international oncology conferences, and participate in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate trainees.
